EAR IRRIGATION
What is Ear Irrigation?
In many cases, the sole use of a curette to remove ear wax is not the most thorough approach. When ear canals develop hard, dry or impacted wax, irrigation of the canal is commonly required. Traditional ear irrigation methods shoot water directly into the ear canal which can be both dangerous and messy. Dr. Rehwald offers a more effective method that is safe, clean, and comfortable for patients of all ages, including babies. Dr. Rehwald uses an unique ear irrigation system with a Gentle Touch design. What makes the ear irrigation system with the Gentle Touch design so unique and effective are two simple features:
-
A design that directs water to the sides of the ear canal at 30 degree angles, instead of directly at the tympanic membrane.
-
A soft tip that fits snugly and comfortably into the ear canal with exit portals for the water and debris to escape without splash back.
